Sports Card Investor's weekly Top 5 has never featured two quarterbacks from the same team. This week it does — both Dak Prescott and Joe Milton show up, and Milton — the backup — takes the #1 spot after a two-game preseason stretch where he completed 21 passes and looked like a legitimate market catalyst.
Prescott lands at #5, the classic pre-season Cowboys pop that shows up every year like clockwork. #4 is Mitch Voit, the Mets' second-base prospect who's been on fire since his promotion to Double-A Binghamton. #3 is Yordan Alvarez, in the middle of an MVP-caliber run for Houston. #2 is Cade Anderson, the Mariners' pitching phenom whose MLB debut against the Cubs made him the first player in franchise history to jump that fast.
The macro read: the sports card market is running hot heading into the football season with baseball's playoff race stacking pitcher and prospect movement on top of it.
