How to Build ClickFunnels Pages with AI Using Funnel Wind

You know that feeling when you're staring at a blank ClickFunnels page, cursor blinking, zero ideas? Yeah, that excuse is officially dead.

During a recent Super Ambassadors Live session, we broke down exactly how Funnel Wind — ClickFunnels' AI-powered page builder — works with Claude's MCP server to generate entire landing pages from a single prompt. Copy, images, structure, the whole thing.

What Is Funnel Wind?

Funnel Wind is a prompt-driven system created by Winter Jones that teaches AI how to write ClickFunnels-compatible HTML. It uses a specially crafted instruction file that tells Claude (or any AI) exactly how to structure page elements using ClickFunnels' custom tags — things like CF-paragraph, CF-button, CF-headline, and CF-section.

These aren't standard HTML tags. They're ClickFunnels-specific markup that the Barnum PT browser extension can read and render directly into your page editor.

Here's the workflow in plain English:

1. Download the Funnel Wind prompt file from Winter Jones' GitHub
2. Drop it into a Claude project as context
3. Write a prompt describing the page you want
4. Claude generates the custom HTML
5. Paste it into Barnum PT inside the ClickFunnels editor
6. Your page builds itself in seconds

Setting Up the MCP Server in Claude

The real magic happens when you connect Claude directly to your ClickFunnels workspace through the MCP server. This lets Claude not only write your page code but also generate images, manage contacts, create blog posts, and more — all from inside a chat.

Here's how to set it up:

1. Get a Claude Pro account — the MCP server requires it
2. Go to Settings → Connectors in Claude
3. Add a custom connector and install the ClickFunnels MCP server
4. Set permissions to "Allow Always" so it has full access to your workspace tools
5. Verify the connection by asking Claude: "Are you currently connected to the ClickFunnels MCP server? Which workspace are you connected to?"

One important caveat: You can only connect one workspace at a time. Our recommendation? Run your Funnel Wind experiments in a test workspace and share the finished funnel over to your main account. We learned this the hard way when page copy mysteriously changed overnight.

The Prompt File Is Everything

The Funnel Wind instruction file is what separates a janky AI output from a properly structured ClickFunnels page. And it's a masterclass in how to train AI properly.

This file is meticulously detailed. It tells the AI:

• Exactly what custom tags to use

Images not loading in the editor	Turn off browser extensions, reload the page, or check in incognito mode
Claude says it can't generate images	Remind it that it's connected to the ClickFunnels MCP server — it literally forgets
MCP server not responding	Disconnect everything, reconnect, and verify the connection
Page code not rendering correctly	Make sure Barnum PT extension is turned on before pasting HTML
Copy changing overnight	Use a test workspace instead of your production account

The biggest takeaway? Be patient and verify each step. These tools are powerful but they're stitching together multiple systems. A little duct tape and bailing twine, as we like to say.

Going Next-Level with Cursor

Here's my personal workflow that takes this even further. Instead of running everything through Claude's web interface, I use Cursor (a code editor with built-in AI) to generate Funnel Wind code.

What I do:

1. Design a mockup in Manis (yes, I've burned through 100,000+ credits — I have a problem)
2. Extract the background images using Canva's magic edit
3. Feed the design to Cursor with the Funnel Wind markdown file and Winter's documentation site as context
4. Cursor generates the full HTML using Claude Sonnet under the hood
5. Drop the code into Barnum PT and the page builds

The secret sauce? Have Manis create the HTML first, then feed that into Cursor. When I tried to just show Cursor a screenshot and say "make it look like this," it tanked. But when I gave it proper HTML structure to work from, the results were dramatically better.
